Combined with the conditioner, this shampoo not only cleans but it definitely helps promote hair growth. It didn't happen overnight, but after about 2 months of using this shampoo I really noticed a difference.
My hair grows so slowly that I only need to get my hair cut twice a year but I just noticed that I dyed my hair 3 weeks ago but I already have almost a half inch growth! I'm so excited, never getting a different shampoo or conditioner again, maybe I'll get the leave in conditioner as well.

DISCLAIMER: The shampoo WILL make your hair dry, it will feel like wet straw, but the second you use a conditioner, any conditioner, its okay. I've never not used the conditioner but I don't think the dryness is permanent.
